Today it was gorgeous outside, not too hot, nice breeze.
So I walked around for lunch and took some pictures of people.
On the deck right outside my building, they have different bands playing every Friday during the summer.
Today it was Lynne Jordan & the Shivers.
They were great!
I came in as one of the guys was doing James Brown's Payback.
Full of funk, like a lot of the Ohio Players songs.


They also did some Aretha Franklin and a mix of some gospel.
Great show, good crowd...just a really nice treat for me in the middle of my work day.
Good funk makes me happy.

When I got back into my car this couple was in the car next to me making out.

Obnoxious garage on our way home from errands.

Another lazy weekend of pure bliss.
Friday night we went out to downtown Naperville.
Had dinner at Jimmy's outside and people watched.
Walked around, split some ice cream.
Slept in Sat & Sun.
Went to the mall, more people watching.
Watched Rebecca on DVD, gonna watch it again with commentary today.
Watching Return of the Pink Panther right now, and Spellbound on tv yesterday.

In the mood for Chinese buffet right now.
Since we sleep in and are so lazy, we only eat one meal a day. I call it blinner.

These are pics of the front of his neck/chest area.
He has a big cut stitched shut, and 2 tubes ones out the top and one out the bottom for drainage which will be taken out on Thursday.

He is doing much better today. He looks better in the face, I could tell he was achy yesterday, he is back to jumping on the bed, running around and barking.

The dog had another tumor removed yesterday.
It just appeared last week, and the vet said it was a lymph node.
So he cut it out yesterday, it was about the size of an egg.
He was kind enough to give us a deal on the price since we have been in so much lately. And I think he really likes our dog anyway...or I just like to think so and it makes me happy. Anyway...the dog is such a good sport, its getting so routine for us now. The vet said he got up on the table himself and was really good.
He has 2 drainage tubes sticking out of his chest that will be taken out on Thursday. We tied a t-shirt around his neck so he didn't spurt all over the house.
He is such a good sport. But he was so achy last night. His eyes looked all tired but he had trouble putting his head down and getting to a comfortable spot. And he keeps licking his feet, we think from the tube dripping on his feet when he is laying down.
Brad said he is a bit better this afternoon, got up on the bed to lay down by himself. At least Brad is home with him, he likes the company, and we gave him lots of petting and loving last night.
:) Of course I will have to take some pics of his chest and the tubes to post later.

2 more weeks until our Florida vacation!

I found a nice place for the dog when we go. Its one of those places where he will have his own room, with a raised bed and his own TV. He doesnt like other dogs that much, he likes his space.

More laying around.
Got up somewhat early to take dog to vet for a blood test.
Went back home watched the Planet of the Apes series that was playing all day, took a nap.
When we got up, we decided to just go walk around somewhere so we went to the new Costco that opened.
It was pretty busy, so cool for people watching.
We sat in the cafe thing and split a slice of pizza and some chicken thing.
This guy next to us was eating an ice cream bar with a knife and fork, it reminded me of a Seinfeld episode where people were eating snickers bars with a knife and fork.


We decided that Costco isnt any big deal. The prices really aren't that great.
So we just walked around trying all the free samples of food they were handing out.
Oh yeah, and Brad stole this womans cart cause she pissed him off by leaving her cart in the middle of an aisle blocking everything while she ran to grab up a free sample of cheese.
We werent buying anything, so we used the hot cart to push my purse mostly.
But then we also used our hot cart to block in this woman for giggles.
Brad gets so irritated with people, so I did this cause I knew he'd get a kick out of it.
This woman left her cart on one side of the aisle then walked across to the other to get something, so I stopped with our hot cart right between her and her cart and stopped like I was looking at something and made her stand there until we moved.
I got a kiss for that one!
Yeah...we are so wild! :P

Went home, let the dog out of his cage.

We have been locking him up when we go out for short errands, since he has been getting things off the counters and going through the trash cans, to help break him of his habit.

Watched Apocalypse Now Redux until 11pm, then went to White Castle.

The usual cashier was there. Kinda goofy woman, always checking out our bills we give her. Even the fives.
Holds it up to the light and everything. She seems a bit touched.
I got a shot of her through the cinnamon roll display.

I think we are gonna wander through Woodfield Mall tomorrow.
More people watching there.

Great 4th!
I slept, and ate all day!!

I slept until 11:30. But it didnt feel that late. Brad had a pork loin roasting all night on low. I woke up to him bringing me a bite of it. WONDERFUL!
Got up for a bit, then we both laid down again and napped until 4:30.
Got up, ate pork and mustard potato salad that he had made too.
Watched the movie Pollock, ate some more.
After that, now that its going on 8pm, we decided to go out just to move around.
So we watched fireworks from the van as we drove to Meijer, then dropped the movie off at the post office, and went to Krispy Kreme.
Now back home, ready to go back to bed.
Good day....really good day!

Brad had a meeting downtown, so I got to have lunch with him today. YAY!
After lunch he went back home and called me.
He asked me what I ate for breakfast.
Um... strange question...but I had the leftover guacamole from last night.
He said there was sticky stuff all over the floor.
He thought maybe I had waffles and the dog got into the plate after we left or something.
He said the dog just farted too.

Then he called me back a few minutes later.
"Didn't we have a cantaloupe on the counter?"
Hmmm, I think we did.

The dog must have jumped on the counter knocking it over, and maybe broke it open a little bit to taste its juicy goodness.
Then ate the whole thing, the rind, the seeds, everything.

He is gonna be shitting out seeds for days now.....

It sucks not having lunch with Brad anymore.
We packed lunches for me last week, which was fine.
But we didn't get to it for yesterday or today.

There are 2 people I talk to at work to see if they can have lunch with me.
If they can I will eat.
If they cant I sit.
And think about what to eat.

I am lazy.
I am hungry.
And I am indecisive.
It's a very bad combination.

Today and yesterday I sat thinking about what to eat and didn't.
Today I was about ready to get up and go eat, but I waited too long and the place closes at 2.
I think I waited too long just cause I didn't want to eat by myself.

Now I will eat too much tonight.
