I'm on call this weekend.
Got woke up twice last night with the pager.
Then got up this morning to go see the dogs.
Zeus, Giggles and Mell got adopted this week.

I walked Cooper first. A cocker spaniel puppy.
His fur was so soft. Very sweet and fun to play with.
I got some silly pics of him jumping around.
After I went to go walk other dogs he just howled.
He has the biggest howl for such a little dog.

Next I walked Maya, a cock-a-poo. Another sweet tiny lap dog.
A bit shy at first, but then gets super cuddly.

Prince was already walked by Brad earlier, but I just stopped in to say "hi" to him.
He was adopted but brought back because the famiy's son was allergic to him.
He has such a long nose, he looks a bit thinner I think since I last saw him.
Very sweet, gentle dog.

Before we left Brad was spending time with Jenna. She looked scared.
So he sat with her, fed her from his hands and tried to soothe her a bit.
Not sure what her background is.

After we left the dogs we headed to the Kane Count fairgrounds to go to the Greek Fest.
Our realtor sends us free tickets every year.
The food was wonderful. We split a combo plate (gyros and souvlaki), split a spanakopita and an order of loukoumades for dessert.
Then went to walk around the new outlet mall that just opened to work off the food we just ate.

We got home around 4 and were both really worn out, and laid down for a nap.
Woke up at 8pm, for me to pick up some dinner to eat while we watched Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.
Now Brad is asleep and I'm up watching silly movies.
I laughed my ass of watching Jaws III, god that was awful....now watching Wolf.

Had lunch with Brent.
Ate at McDonalds cause I was in the mood for a yogurt cone.
He is such a sweetheart, he went to 7-eleven this morning and bought me a diet pepsi slurpee and froze it so he could bring it to me for lunch. :)

I loved his "Where's the beef" shirt.

We have had a guest this weekend, Pete the dog.
He belongs to Brad's boss, we got to have him stay with us this weekend.
He was a perfect guest.
He can play fetch for hours.
Pete has the funniest bark, it's not even a bark, it's more of a howl.
And has a whoo-whoo sound to it.
He throws hid head back and his front feet bounce when he does it.
It's the cutest thing. Brad says I imitate it perfectly.

Pete likes to eat his treats in another room on carpeting.

Waking up with Pete

It's been really nice having a dog around the house again.

Lucy, Patches, Cors, Chiquita and Zoe all got adopted!

Brad stayed home cause we had a house guest.
So I went by myself to walk the dogs, there were lots of other walkers there, so I walked the bigger dogs other people didn't want to walk.

Zeus is a gorgeous doberman.
He is just huge and very very strong.
I had to wrap the leash around my arm several times so that if I got knocked over by him I wouldnt let go of the leash by accident. My arms are sore today from him. He pulled the entire time. I think just being in our house or in our fenced in back yard he would be fine, but he is a major pain in the ass to walk. I tried to sit down with him for some down time. Got a few shots of him, was going well until this other girl walker came around. He knocked me backwards trying to get to her and the dog she had. My hands were hurting from the jerking on the leash. But of course the stupid bitch just stood there and didn't move on. So him and I just went in, after he jerked my arm out of the socket several more times.

I was worn out after Zeus, so I took a break with a pit bull mix named Giggles. Oh my god this dog is so cute and sweet. Just wanted to sit in my lap and kiss me. Just the sweetest thing! And such an adorable face. I checked back on the shelters site today, and Giggles found a home and new family yesterday.

Last I walked Mell. pit bull mix puppy. 6 months old. We had fun walking and playing. But unfortunately Mell is a nipper, and wouldnt stop nipping me. I sat down with her, and tried to pin her down to calm her down and get her to stop nipping, but she got got more wound up and nipped and scratched me up all over. As you can tell by her face, she thought it was pretty funny.

After we left Columbus from visiting my mom and sister, we went to Toledo to visit Brad's parents.
Home of the Mud Hens.
We went to Rudy's Hot Dogs for some chilidogs.
Then went to the Toledo Zoo.
They have a great zoo, Siegfried & Roy even donated some of their white tigers to them.
Spent about 4 hours walking around.
Great visit, I have never seen the animals more active.
They have an aquarium for their hippos - Hippoquarium.
Very cool. In the first picture, you can see their eyes peering out of the water, and then I got some great underwater pics too.
Tons of great pictures of the apes. One was sitting on the glass above me, just feet from my head.
Saw the baby elephant Louie with his mama.
And some great shots of the polar bears too.

Had a really nice visit with Bev & Ted!

Lots of pics:

We got back late Monday from a trip to Ohio to visit family.
We left Weds, drove to Columbus, and stayed at my mom's home.
We got in just in time for dinner. My mom got take out from City BBQ and met us up at my sisters house (10 min from my moms).
Great food.
My niece and nephews are getting bigger. I took a few pictures...should have taken more. I was too busy playing with them.
Went swimming with my mom and older nephew Dylan twice. They had a really fun water slide and a whirlpool that pushes you around in an inner tube.
It's been awhile since I have done laps in the pool, much more tiring than I remember!
Watched the kids one day so my sister could go to a doctor appt and run errands. The kids were good to me.

Ate at all the local places we missed:
Donatos
Tim Hortons
City BBQ
Skyline Chili

Walked around one of the new malls, and me and mom bought some hair extensions together. They are really cute.

This is Ben and Ensley. Ben is 1 1/2, and Ensley is about 6 months.
Ensley is the happiest baby, always smiling and sweet.
Ben can be a booger, but then he just smiles and its tough to get mad and not laugh. He is a tough little kid, likes to play hard.

Saw the dogs on Saturday.
Lucy was still there but put on hold for a family interested in her.
We sat around outside and played with a pine cone. You can see it in her mouth in the last picture of her here. She loved it! Kicked it around, chased it, then would roll over with it in her mouth.
She plays really well with other dogs, we put her in the dog run with another dog named Patches. I think Patches was a retriever. She likes using her paws and batting other dogs with them and then running away. You can tell she thinks its really funny.

Next I walked Cors, a basset hound. I liked her howl. So I sat and howled and got her to howl back.

Chiquita is a 4 month old Chihuahua, she had just come in that morning. Litter box trained too! So tiny, look how big those blades of grass look compared to her head!

Last was Zoe. She kinda looks like Cruella De Ville. I was nuts over Zoe. She was fine with me, maybe my voice or smell, I dont know. But she was deathly afraid of anyone else. We were outside and a woman pulled up in the parking lot as I was sitting and playing with Zoe. Zoe stopped to watch the woman walk up, seemed curious, but then when the woman got close, Zoe hid underneath my legs.
Poor dog had diarrhea, and had some dried poop on her back (not sure how that got there!) and on her feet. So after our walk and playtime I gave her a bath. She has such crazy fur, so I conditioned and brushed it out real good. She looked so pretty. Brad tried to stop in and say hi to her, and she just shook all over. I just wanted to hug, protect her and make her feel safe all the time.
