This weekend we are watching Brad's boss's dog Pete.
Pete doesn't bark he "woo-woo's" especially when you are walking away from him and he wants your attention.
He also really likes our socks after we have worn them.

Watching shit like "Ivana Young Man" for the last 2 hours makes me stupid happy.

The other day I went to pick up some pizza by the slice. Last time I went, they didn't have any ready. This time they said they had some ready. I asked him what kind was up and he just asked what I wanted. Ok. Pepperoni. Then he went back for awhile, came back when there was another customer and told me mine would be a few minutes while it warms up. Warms up? Then he darted back into the kitchen, I watched him put pepperoni on a pizza screen by itself. No idea what that was for. Then when he came back out I asked him what he meant by warming it up. Was he reheating old pizza? He mumbled some stuff, ok whatever. Then it came out and I took it out into the car and started driving. What is that smell??? It smelled like tuna. I opened a box and it looked really foul. The pepperoni was burnt and dried out, the stuff he put on a screen, and smelled terrible. I went back and forth about just pitching it and going to another place (since it was too gross for me to bring home to Brad) or returning it. I never return food, it has to be really bad. But it was $10 and I hadn't driven far. I even took a picture of the foul thing before I returned it.

So I went in and another guy (I call him stoner, cause he looks that way, but he is really nice) was up, and I told him I wanted my money back and he asked why. And I crinkled up my face and told him that not only did it look disgusting but smelled disgusting too. He opened it agreed with me, and told me he was gonna go beat up the retard in the back. And then yelled back at him what the hell he did to fuck up my pizza so bad. He insisted that I let him make me a large pepperoni pizza. Then I went behind the counter and picked out which CD they had to play while I waited. So I listened to some Bloodhound Gang. And the second pizza was good.

Lazy day today, which is good cause I got sick, and it just wore me out anyway. Ate a good dinner though, these dumpling things from Trader Joes, not fatty and like the inside of egg rolls. Also split a jack/chili tamale, and had some chips and pico de gallo to pick on.

Went to Burger King this morning to read the paper, comics, do the crossword and sudoko. There was a goose sitting out in the parking lot. Turns out I think he was the guard goose working his art of distraction to keep people looking at him, and away from his goose-gal and their nest.

Oh yeah, also last week, Brad and I went over to our neighbors back yard to see Maggie, the dog that sticks her head under our fence, and her owner stepped out and we talked a bit. Maggie was spazzing out and jumping all over her and then nipping at her just all worked up and with her Russian accent she reminded me of the "Dog bites my vagina" lady. So then all night I was talking like her and talking about Maggie bite me in the vagina and I don't know why she do this!

Heres the video...I had to go look it up...

I just started reading Life of Pi, a book our recent house guest, Jason recommended for me. It was nice having him around for a visit.

My therapist is going to Jerusalem for 2 weeks, he said he would pray for me while he was there, which I think is really cool cause I think just getting a prayer from there has a little more weight to it. He is gonna mostly be at some Kabbalah place that Madonna hangs out at. I was really tired last night, and he said I looked pale. I told him he is the reason I bought blush to begin with, I never wore it before him! And that I was just tired and it had worn off. I was weird tired last night, giddy tired, especially after a hot bath.

Work is still going well for the most part. I am still easing into things, so much so that it's still too soon for me to really know if I think I can do it or not. Or maybe I am just overly cautious/hesitant. I want it to work out though.

Our 10 year anniversary is next week. We are talking about getting a hotel downtown and just hanging out, maybe going to Second City or something like that.

The house was dead quiet when I came home after work.
I thought I'd let Chauncey out in the front with me while I pulled out the trash cans and recycle bin.

Quiet.

When I went in I found him in a trash frenzy induced coma.

His head laying in a pile of trash.

Slept through me taking pictures. Then finally sleeping beauty woke up.

Later last night I went to Midway to pick up Jason who will be staying with us through the weekend and leaving on Monday. Stopped for some coffee and chocolates on the way home.

Good weekend.
Watched A History of Violence. Good movie GREAT gore, and also watched Everything is Illuminated. Liked that a lot, very cute and quirky as well as made me cry, then I also had to go and download the soundtrack. Reminded me of Orlek from Slovenia.

Mowed the lawn, and got half of the garage done which included, moving stuff from one side to the other, sweeping, water pressure cleaning, acid/etching, then putting a coat of stain on.

Saw 2 bunnies in our backyard playing on Saturday, it was a zen moment. They didn't care I was there and kept playing, running for each other and then leap frogging over each other. Really playful and cute.

Found most a skeleton when I was cleaning up our flower bed. We think it was a cat.

So warm out, giving me the itch to do yard work.
Gonna pick up Chauncey poop, mow the grass, spray for weeds and maybe just maybe even mulch.
I left work a bit early due to Easter holiday. The place was pretty empty when I left so I drove up to the top of the parking garage and decided to put my skates on.

It is the perfect Sheri skating rink!
Empty, fairly smooth and pretty big too!
Got a few good laps in before seh-cur-a-tah came up doing their rounds and said I couldn't skate there. I'll still do it again....

Stopped by a 7-Eleven for a coke Slurpee and some marked down peeps so when I went to visit Brad at his office on my way home, I wouldn't be empty-handed.

After I got home, Chauncey and I were out in the backyard and I started cleaning up the flower pots to plant some Shasta Daisies and some other perennial stuff. Brad came home soon after and our neighbor dog stuck her head under the fence for a visit. She has dug a bit so she has more room to stick most of her upper body through now when she wants to say "hi".

We brought Chauncey over to meet her but he just wanted to lay in the grass with me.

Brad's gonna change clothes and we will do some work on the garage to prep to pressure wash it so then we can apply some concrete stain to it.

BACK TO WORK!

Chauncey is here!
Richard dropped him and his things off last night.
He seems to really like our tile floor. I think his medication makes him a bit flushed so he pants often to cool off.
Last night he came upstairs with us, but the tile floor beckoned. He made to the bottom of the steps and could go no further....

Came home from work, and he is fast asleep on his beloved tile.

In that last pic he is saying "HEY! A little help here!"

As much as he loves the tile, it's tough for him to stand up from a lounging position, especially when he just wakes up. So I grab from underneath and pull him up and hold him that way for a few seconds to make sure he is sturdy before I let go.

Then outside!

My morning drive to work

2nd week of work.
Still easing into things.
Lots of logins, and things to order, badge, laptop, secure id token, pager, access to this and that, corp card.

Stopping at the O'Hare Oasis or a Dominicks for Starbucks on my way to work in the mornings.

Tonight Richard is dropping his dog Chauncey off at our place for a few days while he is out of town. It will be nice having a dog in the house again.

Brief update...
I am doing good.
The people at the new job seem really nice.
They are open with information about themselves with me, helpful about work info, and seem genuinely interested in getting to know me.
We have morning coffee together, lunch together and even leave work together.
They couldn't be a nicer bunch.

(Brad's update from yesterday)

No panic attacks in the bathroom or fetal positions hidden away in the server room.

This is the back of a co-worker's head, he sits next to me and showed me how to use Veritas Netbackup today.

I really can't stand that song "I'm In Love With A Stripper"
Nothing against an ode to a stripper...hell I love 'em too!

But god I hate love rap, then add that stupid sounding pan flute to it and just EWWWW!!

Also don't forget tonight is the Flavor of Love reunion!!! YAY!!!
