Not looking good for the condo. Had a lawyer threaten them with litigation. He suggests I get with his litigation guy and serve them papers and see if they fold. Will look into it, and think about it. Had a rage day about it last week, wore myself out and then Jeff had some good leftovers (meat veggies and rice) to come home to and he uploaded 300 for us to watch.

I am planning on keeping my eye for an open house and going through and spilling coffee in every room, telling everyone who will listen how they screwed me and I will need to tell them directly that I am wishing 7 years of diarrhea on them so everytime they have diarrhea they will wonder and think of me. :)

Leave for family trip in Florida next Sunday. Might or might not go to Lollapalooza, or maybe just a day.

Friday went to a great place Katerina's Great food, stuffed mushrooms with spinach and goat cheese, pear, walnut, blue cheese and prosciutto panini. Great live music, the girl that night sounded like Ricki Lee Jones. Good vibe was sharing food with just about everyone at the bar and digging into their stuff too. Then went to Schubas to see Bat For Lashes. Good show, but I was pretty tipsy by that time since I started early at Katerina's, but had a good time with Jonneal sitting in the back on the stove. She bought a cd and we got it signed after the show.

Yesterday was lazy, pizza at Piece and a movie marathon slumber party. Watched Apocalyptico, Blood Diamond and Zodiac.

Went to local farmers market with Brent this morning and then back to his place to watch Home Movies episodes. I enlightened him to Home Movies and he enlightened me to Chapters 1-12 of Trapped in A Closet, which left me unsatisfied but his roommate David said the next episodes should be out in the next 5 months-ish.

Meeting Brent out later tonight at Quenchers for Live Band Karaoke night. Since I have work at 2am anyway. Have late night work scheduled for the next 3 days in a row.

Before and during the auction everyone was so nice and talkative to me and my super cute agent Kora. After the auction when Kora would call to ask them to send her the contract they couldnt get off the phone with her fast enough telling her to call somebody else, and then she would leave whoever a voicemail.

Then yesterday while I am doing laundry some guy named Bill calls me. Says he was at the auction, and am I the girl that bid and got the place. Yeah. He doesnt work for auction but was at the auction and says many times about how upset he was at how auction went. I dont know his state of mind so I dont even ask him how the hell he got my phone number (cell phone btw) He said his broker told him that they wont sell to me and asked if I got the contract yet and I said no. He says he will call back Monday or Tuesday with the auction owners name for me if I dont have it by then. Okay. He also said he went to the seller and auction people right after they closed auction and offered to buy 4 units at what I paid and said they got belligerent with him. Still...how did he get my number, why is he calling, what does he want from me? But I said nothing and sympathized with him mostly.

Then I called super cute Kora and gave her his number she left him a voice mail, and called a bunch of auction people to ask what was up. One of the guys called her back leaving her a voice mail, made no mention of Bill, and said the holdup on the contract was the seller. The seller has not gotten back in touch with them to sign the contract. But they did fax her the contract portion I signed so the attorney can look at it Monday and see if he has anything to add about the situation.

I think the seller was unhappy with auction, that no one was bidding and the price I got the most expensive unit for. Thats why auction was closed after I won first bid and the other, the other units did not go up. I dont know what legal obligation seller has or does not have to keep their end of the bargain. I do have the name and address of the seller and their attorney now from my copy of the contract.

Gonna wait until Monday, check with auction about contact from seller, see what attorney says and then figure out how to proceed.

I had a late lunch with my mortgage guy yesterday and filled him in on all the weirdness. He is really cute but likes Fox News. I'll still use him as my mortgage guy though, really liked all his suggestions and he is great with numbers.

Got my Harry Potter book today!!! Sat at Starbucks to read, at least 3 other people reading it there too. Only on page 137, so many other people looked so much further along.

Went through a couple furniture stores today to get ideas for furnishing my new condo. Even if it doesnt work out with this one, there were 3 other places I liked just not for the kick ass price I paid for this one.

In Logan Square.
Closing is next month.
I paid half of what the selling price was!!
I DID GOOD!!

So now I dont really have to worry about re-sale value or if I lose my job...fuck it! I'll get another! But now new worries, set up utilities, cable, need bed, TV, furniture....wow wow WOW!!

I am still in shock.

It was at an auction. The builders ran out of money, and this auction place took over. Not many people were there and no one seemed to know what to do, no one was bidding, so I bid and I got my choice of places and go the biggest bestest place they had. Then cause everyone else was not bidding to try and get the places for opening bids only the auction place told them they were closing the action and everyone was just sitting around like "Whaaaaa?" while I was getting a kick ass condo at a fucking fantastic price!!!

Got late night work tonight, was gonna go to bed, but then got stuff on my mind. So I will just stay up until the 2am maintenance window and do the work and then go to bed. Have work Thursday night too.

Had 3 days of Pitchfork Music fest. Really great...so much so, I am questioning how much I really want to be let down by Lollapalooza. They sold BIG bottles of water with electrolytes for $1!!! At Lolla, it will be $5 or $6 at least, Pitch had healthy food options, (vegan, indian, even produce!!) at Lolla it will just be over priced stadium food. Lolla is a big open field, Pitch was too but there was still plenty of spots with trees and shade for naps. I am thinking everyone (me included) will be hot bitchy and tired, too much sun, mad at paying to much for shit, and the crowd wont be as nice and laid back they will all be irritated and annoyed. I rescheduled my flight for my family trip to a day earlier on the Sunday of Lolla, I'd rather spend an extra day with family, and I can still maybe go Fri or Sat and sell Sunday or I might sell it all.

Condo auction is this Weds, after that I think Ill either walk away with one, or pick one of my top 3.

and BTW Angus Oblong is supposed to be at this years Comicon!

The Craiglist 4th of July get together turned out great. Really liked the hosts and hope to hang out with them again. Very laid back people, just like to eat, watch TV, listen to music and they said they would go to music shows with me.

After that Brent and I went to Ronny's to catch a show someone else told me about which turned out pretty awful. The opening guy was acoustic and trying too hard to sound like Tom Waits, so much straining I thought he was going to shit his pants. I had a little too much by that point and then got a really bad case of the giggles which turned into laughing so hard I'm crying and acoustic opening guys friends probably want to kick my ass cause I couldn't stop mocking his singing. His lyrics were so dramatic, he sang a song about WWII "I shot a man, and then I shot his brother, and then I shot him again." OMFG!!! I never thought I would see the day where I embarrassed Brent...but I did. The other bands got a bit better..but just not my thing, and I had such a good fun day and they were all killing the fun.

I think a couple weeks ago I busted an internal stitch in my stomach and its just never healed since, so I went back in to the doctor yesterday and they stitched it shut so hopefully it will seal up now that there is less area space of the wound. Then I've got the 3-day Pitchfork Music Festival I am really looking forward to.

Since I was in the area last night (after the Dr) I went on a date with Tippy and Jill. Tippy likes to always bring Jill on her first date with someone new, and I got to go last night too. I thought he was nice, picked up our dinner and was courteous to all 3 of and not skeezy at all. I told her I thought he was kind, and she should date kind people.

Wasn't ready for bed still when I got back to Logan Square so I swung by and picked up Brent and met Ben and Mark at Quenchers and ate tots.

Did see La Scala and some other bands on Friday. Went by myself, but met people and hung out with people that knew the band and danced with me. Got in free, people bought me waters, then got into Smartbar free after the show.

Went to Ribfest Sunday and Monday night, spent the night at Jills both nights. The first night we went just to go, and took one of her daughters. Monday night we went to go see Dark Star Orchestra, Jill is a Deadhead and the band plays all Dead stuff, and she is really into it. The Fixx, The Alarm and Psychedelic Furs were also playing but the crowd there was kinda boring, much better crowd all dancing having a good time at Dark Star.

Tonight I went by myself to see Bang Bang at Abbey. They were alright, but interesting, so was the opening band...Brilliant Pebbles I think they were.... Saw some people I saw at Metro on Friday that recognized me and told me about another show tomorrow night (now tonight) at Ronnys called Langhorne Slim that sounded good.

Also tomorrow doing a Craigslist 4th of July. Saw an ad on Craiglist about wanting to meet new people in Logan Square for the 4th. So Brent and I are going and bringing chips and some kind of dessert and meeting random people from Craiglist.

I really enjoy going to music shows. Even bad ones, just checking out a new place, new music, or music I know I like. Find things I like in it, or even just people watching. Back in Ohio I used to go to a lot of shows, and I've really missed that, and the atmosphere.
